Jeanne Lieberman's love affair with theater began when, at the age of 5, she gave her first dance performance at Brooklyn's Academy of Music for an audience of over 500 people. The passion continued as a dancer and choreographer in New York and Boston. During this time she earned degrees at Brandeis University and post graduate at Hunter College and New York University. Ms. Lieberman began her career in Theater Journalism for the New York Law Journal in 1986 and, since then, has written for many publications including The New York Post and Newsday. Her theater coverage has earned her 5 First Place Journalism Awards in competitions that included the New York Times and Newsday. Her reviews, feature articles and interviews can be seen and heard in print and on the internet and also on the air on several radio stations in Westchester, Connecticut and Long Island. She is very proud of the work she and Jack Quinn have done as Editor and Publisher of Theaterscene. By her own admission Jeannie is happiest when the lights go down and the curtain goes up.
