JESSICA GAYNOR DANCE presents
the World Premiere of Hero
at Triskelion Arts
November 15-18, 2012 at 8pm

Jessica Gaynor Dance presents the World Premiere of Hero from November 15-18, 2012 at 8pm at the Aldous Theater, Triskelion Arts, 118 North 11th Street, 3rd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11211. Tickets are $15 and are available at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/259374 .

Hero, an evening of new work by Ms. Gaynor, explores the ideological heroism, physical prowess and secret identities of superheroes. Ms. Gaynor’s choreography is physically ferocious. Each dancer holds a specific attribute that is equal and opposite to his or her partner: no fear vs. calculated, malleable vs. rigid, upside-down vs. balanced. The piece utilizes extreme physicality, intricate patterning and sophisticated formal structures in an exploration of the complexities of human experience. Hero features original music by Devin Maxwell, and lighting design by Andrew Dickerson.

Dancers: Catherine Coury, Emily Diers, Kyle Gerry, Jake Laub, Jordan Risdon, Julia Sabangan
